Green is but a memory
planted, through technology
a figment of our simulations
A guiding force
a visitor
sweep through us like wind
a light scatters
falling on every surface
to conquer more space
Electric Animal: Reflection
2022
Spatial Installation and performance at exhibition space Laube, Karlsruhe
3-channel-video, 18'39''
in collaboration with Nele Faust and Daniel Lythgoe
Grass paper book including a 20-page story and 5 prints, screen printed with thermochromic paint
Electric Animal: Reflection is a record of an unknown creature, transported from its natural habitat. It explores its perception and its first contact with a seemingly natural environment. Deformed images, stretched, distorted bodies and textures from the perspective of the electric animal deal with the fusion of nature and culture, man and technology. Visitors are invited to experience the animal's diurnal cycle from and its first encounters with an organic environment.
The project was funded by a grant from the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts of Baden-Württemberg.
