The Messy History Report is one of three parts of "Messy History Lessons" – a play about the lost/hidden/forgotten non-linear history of women in art, culture, literature, and music – which during the pandemic took on the forms of a newspaper, a short film/video, and a play.
The newspaper introduces the play and provides hard-to-find texts by Linda Stupart, Virginia Woolf, Kathy Acker, Carla Lonzi and more. The textile banners show the stone as a bearer of memories and contain an archaeology of unknown artefacts in feminist history.
